With The Jasmine Moon Ensemble, a Birmingham based Chinese group, playing Bawu, Dizi, Xiao and Gongdi on an original interpretation of "The Heroic Little Sisters of the Grassland" (a cartoon classic from the early years of communist China).

Improvising on the Bawu and Bansuri to accompany dancers, for the Red Earth Arts Group piece 'River Crossing', part of outdoor-site production, Sounding The River, at Midlands Art Centre, Birmingham.

A collaborative recording of classic Chinese Folk Melody 'In a Far-away Place' with Max on Dizi/Xiao/Hulusi alongside longtime musical colleague Mick Howson and an archive recording of his seminal Birmingham Folk Band, Kitchen Girls.

On Duduk and Bansuri for a score by producer and composer Gareth Cousins to pitch-video for UK Sci Fi series, Fracture.

On multiple Whistles (high and low) to bring that special flavour to a Christmas single released on YouTube in 2016.

Playing Whistles and Irish Flute for Rabscallion, a leading Ceilidh band from Birmingham.

Discovering a Kurdish folk tune on the Metal Flute in musical dialogue with Oud player Bland Mahdi as part of artist Yuri Leiderman's 'Birmingham Pattern' exhibition at the Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, 2007.

Featuring on High and Low Whistles here, in the finale of the score by composer Richard Shrewsbury to 'Dystopia' - a piece by Autin Dance Theatre.

One of Max's own Folk compositions beautifully arranged here by Jeremy Clay in a recording from 2021 by Max and members of the LEAP ensemble (students and tutors) from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
